ARTIST REVIEW: SPACE OWL
Review
"Flask" reveals an exquisite production on the keys and the symbiotic relationship that is established between the drums and these upbeat melodies that seem to come from a jamming session. The process is relatively slow but full of suspense, with the strings of this space owl leading me to swing on its wings like a child having fun in a playground or riding their imaginary dragon. Then there are the longed-for voices from behind the microphone, pointing us to a secret path shrouded in mystery and fantasy, Harry Potter. The melodies are as cartoony and cinematic as the unique work of the Unicorns and Flask takes us on a space odyssey achieved through the contrast between low and high sounds. It's a privilege to be able to keep up with the quirky ideas of Ari Joshua and his cohorts on progressive and highly nostalgic pieces like this!
