Guitarist, composer, and founder of The Music Factory, Ari Joshua, and Artist-In-Residence at Temple De Hirsch Sinai, Chava Mirel, will bring the story of Exodus to life through a jazz quartet interpretation. Join us for a one-of-a-kind musical experience as we celebrate the age-old tradition of the Passover Seder with a unique twist. Together, these two celebrated local artists will take you on a musical journey of exploration, innovation, and tradition. With their unique style, they’ll immerse you in a reimagined version of the story of Exodus, bringing new insights to one of the oldest stories of all time.

After 15 years of building one of the cities most celebrated music education facilities, The Music Factory, Ari Joshua is sharing his vault of original works with the world. Just in the last few months he has shared collaborations with some of the nation’s greatest contemporary jazz and jam band artists. Each original work will take you on a musical journey. These go from the all-improvised suite of exploration, “Meeting of the Minds,” featuring John Medeski and Billy Martin from Medeski Martin & Wood (as featured in the Earshot Jazz feature ‘For the Record’), to the soul jazz release “Fresh” featuring Delvon Lamarr, Skerik, and Grant Schroff, to the unique blend of jazz and groove on ‘The $1000 Question’ featuring members of The Trey Anastasio Band. It’s been a break out year for this young jazz guitarist.

Chava Mirel, a unique being in the world of music and spirit, with her rich, luxurious vocals and compassionate presence, will add her own touch to the performance, celebrating hope, caring, connection, and inclusion. Her latest album, “Source of Love,” a collection of songs set to prayers from the Jewish Liturgy, as well as new songs with universal themes, encourages listeners to focus on nature, family, and spirituality. In June 2022, Chava released her latest full-length album with her band, New Moon Rising, featuring fellow Jewish musicians Elana Arian and Deborah Sacks Mintz. She also recently released a full-length jazz album, “Chava Mirel: The Quarantine Sessions”, recorded in an electrifying live session with her jazz sextet.

Together, these two celebrated local artists will take you on a musical journey of exploration, innovation, and tradition. Join us for an interactive night that will leave you inspired and captivated. Don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate one of the oldest stories of all time in a new and reimagined way.
