Dimitriou's Jazz Alley proudly welcomes for the first time ever, psychedelic-jazz-rock guitarist, and virtuoso-musician Ari Joshua. Professionals and aficionados alike revel in the artistic integrity, and abilities of this celebrated multi-genre jazz guitarist. After four years in the acclaimed Roosevelt Jazz Band, Ari made the pilgrimage to The New School, New York, New York. There he studied under a 'who's who' list of jazz legends, and woodshedded alongside a generation of young lions. After returning to the NW, Ari spent over a decade focusing on his gift to the city, his music school, 'The Music Factory'. The Music Factory has since provided quality music lessons to thousands of kids and adults in the region. In the gravity of the 2020 pandemic, Ari laid the groundwork on sharing his musical gifts. The first release from his vault was the collaboration, 'Eyes Only,' featuring the infamous musician Robert Glasper (piano) & Pendulum drummer KJ Sawka. This week Ari shares 'Father Time,' an organ trio classic featuring members of Phish frontman Trey Anastasio's band. To hear a sample of what to expect at the Alley, check out 'Say Whatcha Wanna Say,' a classic organ quartet instrumental featuring national sax icon and local treasure Skerik, released June 2021. August 10th & 11th, Jazz Alley proudly presents a night of all new original material promoting Ari Joshua's two latest releases performed by an incredible all-star line-up. Ari Joshua (guitar), Delvon Lamarr (organ), Thomas Marriott (trumpet), Art Brown (tenor sax), and Luca Cartner (drums). The line-up features members of The Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio, Polyrhythmics, Marriott Brothers, and more. Show time is 7:30pm both Tuesday and Wednesday. Doors open at 6:00pm each night.
